There are 1,064 Reasons to Enter Our First ZR1 Sweepstakes

Our friends at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum in Knoxville, Iowa love to give away high performance Corvettes. The 501(c)(3) non-profit organization just wrapped up its 2024 fundraiser by giving away a new 2023 Corvette Z06 Convertible with Z07 and $25,000 cash to Thomas Stewart of Fountain Valley, California! And while we were just up at the Corvettes at Carlisle show, we met Phillip Winslow Jr of LaRue, Ohio who also took home a 2023 Corvette Z06 Convertible in the 2023 sweepstakes.

When the Corvette engineers were asked how much horsepower they wanted from the ZR1’s LT7 twin-turbo V8, they replied, “all of it.” The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum has the same kind of mindset with their upcoming ZR1 grand prize, offered as a ZR1 Coupe in Competition Yellow Metallic with the ZTK Performance Package.

Win a 2025 Corvette ZR1

The new Corvette ZR1 completely redefines the definition of Corvette Performance as the ZR1’s LT7 is the most powerful V-8 to be produced in America from any automotive manufacturer. The twin-turbo 5.5-liter V-8 makes 1,064 horsepower and 828 lb-ft of torque and will produce a top speed comfortably over 215 mph, while estimates for its quarter mile time are sub-10 seconds at 150 mph. The flat-plane crank V-8 revs to 8,000 rpm and it shares a similar high-revving engine note that Corvette enthusiasts have come to love since the Z06’s debut in 2023. And since you have to slow down all this power, the ZR1 introduces a new carbon ceramic brake package from Brembo with the largest rotors ever offered on the Corvette.

Cutting edge aerodynamics provide plenty of cooling to the twin-turbo V-8 while also providing 1200 lbs of downforce at top speed. A new flow-thru hood puts a massive amount of cool air through the turbo’s intercooler while stall-gurney aero trim around the front of the opening creates a massive low pressure area that sucks the hot air out and over the car. New inlets integrated into the side intake trim’s wishbone provides additional cooling to the engine compartment while new rear air ducts sends air directly to the rear Brembo carbon ceramic brakes. As a nod to the past, the ZR1 Coupes have a new functional split rear window design to help ventilate the engine bay.

The ZTK Performance Package takes the ZR1 to even higher performance levels with a stiffer suspension, additional aero including the large rear wing and front dive planes, while Michelin Cup 2R tires are about as close to having racing slicks as possible. Even with the additional aero for ZTK package, the higher drag design was still able to surpass 200 mph as we saw in videos from the reveal.

“There is an insatiable thirst in the sports car world for the ultimate in performance. And the ZR1 is certainly that in the Corvette lineup. It’s at the very top.”

– Josh Holder, Corvette Chief Engineer
