Description
1932 Ford Cabriolet Hot Rod, Built by Boyd Coddington, One of His Final Builds
1932 Ford Cabriolet Hot Rod – Built by Boyd Coddington for Christian Audigier, One of Boyd's Final Builds
Some hot rods are built. This one is history.
Black and sinister, with a red interior, billet-quality Boyd details, and old-school pinstripes, this is a rolling piece of hot rod history.
Built to Be an Icon
In mid-2007, Christian Audigier approached Boyd Coddington with a bold request: build a “Signature Hot Rod” to serve as the icon for his new VIF Speed Shop brand.
A Piece of Hot Rod History
Boyd fell ill just before the car was finished and passed away in February 2008. The shop and the Audigier car sat idle until Boyd's widow, Jo, had the car sent to West Coast Customs. There, the interior was installed, the pinstriping and paint were completed, and the original Boyd wheels were mounted. The finished car was then exhibited in the West Coast Customs booth at the 2008 SEMA Show.
Few hot rods can claim a story like this: a legendary builder, a famous commissioner, a famous finishing shop, and a SEMA debut. Real Henry Ford Steel. Boyd Craftsmanship. Built to Drive.
This Cabriolet keeps its all-steel Henry Ford body, the foundation traditional hot-rodders prize most.

More than a '32 Ford, this is a symbol of American ingenuity, individuality, and the freedom of the open road.
Builds with this pedigree rarely come to market, and they don't last long.
