Pro-Built Chevelle Conv. Restomod LS 408ci V8 Automatic Schwartz Chassis A/C

This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Convertible pairs classic muscle-car styling with a Texas Speed 6.7L V8, a custom chassis and a leather-lined interior. Built by Schwartz Performance of Woodstock, Illinois, the Chevrolet received a complete nut-and-bolt transformation. Tuxedo Black paint and White Super Sport stripes give it a familiar appearance, while the equipment beneath the body brings substantial changes to its performance. Restoration photos and receipts accompany the car.

The Tuxedo Black two-stage finish highlights the Chevelle's broad shoulders and sculpted bodywork, accented by White Super Sport stripes and a cowl-induction hood. A stainless-trimmed grille centers an SS emblem between the Chevelle's signature quad headlights, complemented by chrome bumpers and clear front parking lamps. Factory-tinted glass, bright window trim and a white convertible top complement the exterior, joined by factory-style mirrors, traditional door handles and SS badging. Power comes from a Texas Speed and Performance 408ci stroker V8 based on GM's 6.0L LQ9, equipped with PRC CNC-ported aluminum cylinder heads and a TSP Stage 2 LS7 camshaft. Electronic fuel injection and a custom intake tube handle induction, while Schwartz long-tube headers feed a stainless dual exhaust system with an H-pipe and polished mufflers. An aluminum Be Cool radiator and dual electric fans handle cooling, and March serpentine accessories include a polished alternator and air-conditioning compressor. An RPM Level VI 4-speed automatic transmission with a 3,500-rpm stall converter sends power to a Moser 9" rear axle equipped with 3.70 gears and a Truetrac limited-slip differential. The Schwartz Performance G-Machine chassis features boxed and tubular bracing, satin-black powder coating and custom suspension with RideTech coilovers. Power rack-and-pinion steering and power-assisted Baer four-wheel disc brakes with six-piston calipers and drilled and slotted rotors round out the mechanical package.

Inside, custom leather upholstery covers upgraded front bucket seats and a factory rear bench, complemented by custom side panels and plush aftermarket carpet. Dakota Digital instruments update the factory-style dashboard, which also houses modern air-conditioning controls and a RetroSound head unit with Bluetooth and SiriusXM capability. Focal kick-panel speakers and power windows add convenience, while a factory center console retains the familiar horseshoe shifter. The trunk carries the custom treatment further with fitted upholstered panels, a carpeted floor and a JL Audio enclosure housing dual 8" subwoofers for powerful audio.
