The 1940 Ford Deluxe Convertible from the Charlie Thomas Collection is a meticulously restored example of pre-war American automotive design. This car features a 221ci flathead V8 engine producing 85hp, paired with a three-speed manual transmission and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes—a significant upgrade for its era. The convertible has been refinished in Garnet Maroon with a tan soft top (maroon piping), complemented by a luxurious red leather interior. Its restoration, performed in the early 2000s, included a full overhaul of the suspension and brakes, as well as detailed attention to factory-correct finishes and period equipment.

Under present ownership since April 2025 the following has been done:

New gas tank

New metal gas lines from tank to underhood area.

New motor and transmission mounts

New rear brake wheel cylinders

New 6 volt battery

6 volt generator was rebuilt

New voltage regulator

New fuel pump

New carburetor

Oil and filter changed

It comes with a clean California title and is exempt from smog certification.
